What is ceiling mold remediation?

What causes ceiling mold in Florida?

Can I remove ceiling mold myself?
If it is under about 10 square feet on firm, painted drywall, usually yes. Florida requires a licensed remediator over 10 contiguous square feet.
Is bleach a good mold remover?
The EPA does not recommend routine bleach use for mold, and it does not fix mold in porous drywall.
Can I paint over ceiling mold?
No. Remove or clean it, fix the moisture and dry the ceiling first.
Do I need mold testing?
Usually not when mold is visible. The EPA says sampling is generally unnecessary in that case.
